Let's hope this is the first of many communities in North Texas to be recognized for their efforts! The City of Frisco made an announcement at the Parks & Rec Board meeting Thursday night, letting them know that Frisco has been named to the list of cities receiving Honorable Mention recognition as a Bike Friendly Community from the League of American Bicyclists. This list is very TOUGH to make - Frisco joins Fort Worth as the only other North Texas community to receive Bike Friendly recognition. Its been a lot of work and the city is very much leading the charge for this, with the anticipation of moving towards Bronze recognition in the near future. There are only three cities in Texas to have achieved the Bronze recognition - Austin, San Antonio and Houston. We're in great company.
