Petition of Support for Traffic Pattern Change #0001

Petition of Support for Traffic Pattern Change in Frisco, Texas

Intersection: Rolater Rd & Coit Rd.  Request: Rolater Rd, both east and westbound and on Coit Rd north and southbound.

Rolater and Coit

Background:  In this past year, one of our STCC members was passing through the intersection on her bicycle.  Two separate oncoming cars failed to yield and both struck her, causing devastating injuries.  There have been other accidents and close calls to both drivers and cyclists, many related to vehicles going to or coming from the two high school in the general area (Centennial High School & Liberty High School).

Request: In the interest of safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers, I support changing the current traffic signal pattern from the existing "flashing yellow" yield to a left turn on "green arrow only".  This should be applied on Rolater Rd, both east and westbound and on Coit Rd, north and southbound.  This signal pattern should be in effect during times of school activity at either Centennial High School or Liberty High School.

By completing and submitting the form below, I understand and agree that my submission will be used to demonstrate support for the proposed change to the City of Frisco.
