Unless you are riding with some of your friends, your group ride is more than likely with a club or a bike shop. Each club or shop has their own set of group rules and protocols that everyone must follow if you chose to ride with them. Regardless of if you are member or a guest of the club, it is in good taste to respect these protocols. Since most of these rules are in place for the safety of the group, it is also essential to follow them throughout the ride and not only in the presence of the ride leader. Riders should always remember that there are different levels of experience in a group ride and following a few simple safety protocols can enhance the overall riding experience for everyone.
